Sandra Siemens, L.I.S.W., is the founder and President of Family Foundations of Iowa, Inc., a community of Christian clinicians providing quality, professional and ethical mental/behavioral health services.  Services are based on biblical principles, and are provided in a caring environment. 

Sandy is an experienced therapist and supervisor.  From the initial assessment and evaluation to establishing goals and objectives, Sandy has over 20 years experience working with couples integrating Christian values and beliefs into her practice.

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and a Master of Social Work degree from St. Ambrose University.  She is a Charter Member of the American Association of Social Workers, and the Association of Family Life Professionals.

Jana L. Allemeier, NCC, LMHC, is a National Certified Counselor, a state Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a member of Family Foundations of Iowa, Inc.

Jana's expertise in helping adults and teenagers with depression, anxiety, anger management, and grief enhances the professional services provided by Family Foundations.  She is a compassionate, caring therapist willing to accept the challenge of helping individuals and couples deal with sexual difficulties; integrating Christian beliefs into her counseling.

Jana earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Western Illinois University in the Board of Governors, specializing in Abnormal Psychology and Religion, and her Master of Science in Education of Counseling.  She is a member of The American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, and The American Red Cross National & State Disaster Human Response Team.

Paula F. Price, LMHC, specializes in the integration of Psychology and Theology.  She assesses both spiritual and psychological needs, and designs treatment plans unique to every client in order to provide the most personal, holistic, professional and caring services possible.

As an experienced therapist, Paula is able to encourage individuals, couples, and parents to establish and attain goals for self-improvement and spiritual growth.  Paula is also active as a speaker and workshop leader, offering a variety of topics to area organizations and churches.

Paula holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchberg, Virginia.  She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Mental Health Counseling Association,
and the Iowa Mental Health Counseling Association.

Matt received his M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, Lynchberg, Virginia, in April 2007.  He holds his Bachelor of Science in Christian Education from Grace University, Omaha, Nebraska.

Matt has worked with families and teens for over fourteen years with Youth for Christ USA.  He was licensed as a Pastor with G.L.B.C. in 1994.  he is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

His combination of passion and experience regarding family issues enables him to counsel families, adolescents, and individuals.  Matt understands the dynamic role that men hold in the family system and the struggles that they face today.  He is proficient in assessment, evaluation and treatment in a wide variety of counseling fields.

 

susan.jpgSusan E. Alden, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
Susan received her Doctor of Nursing from Rush University College of Nursing in Psychiatric Nursing and a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is Board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and Family Practice Nursing. Dr. Alden was Assistant Professor at Marycrest International University for 20 years and Supervisor at Davenport Medical Center/Trinity Medical Center North for 10 years. In recent years she has been in private practice.
She has experience in most forms of individual and group therapies, addictions and career counseling, general and specialty nursing, education and nursing management. Dr. Alden is available for the clients of Family Foundations when referred by our therapists.

Kimber Weckel, L.M.S.W.
Kimber Weckel, L.M.S.W. has 12 years experience working in the Quad City area non-profit and public school system. Her counseling philosophy is based on caring for the heart of each individual. The heart is where we carry our joy and pain and by caring for it properly, all things come into perspective. Kimber has a passion to help single women and engaged couples as they pursue their hearts desire to enter into marriage, with the belief that healthy people create healthy marriages.

Her experience working with adolescents and their families has allowed Kimber to assist teens and their parents as they navigate challenging times of life, dealing with difficult issues such as self-esteem, depression, anger, stress, cutting, eating disorders, sexuality, relationships, family conflict, and school related stressors. She is also a certified Trauma and Loss Specialist, trained in providing trauma specific intervention to children and adults who have experienced a traumatic event that prevents them from fully living and enjoying their lives.

Kimber is also a certified trainer in Character Counts! Character Development, Search Institutes 40 Developmental Assets and drug and violence prevention curriculum used in schools. Kimber is available for training and speaking engagements.

Kristi Manley, LMHC, CADC I

Kristi Manley joined the caring team of trained professional counselors  at Family Foundations of Iowa  in September, 2007. In February 2008 she was appointed Mental Health Coordinator. She brings strong biblical values and a  quiet faith to her work with individuals, couples and families seeking insight, support and encouragement to solve problems and move their lives forward. Licensed in Iowa since November, 2007 and certified as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Kristi has four years experience in the assessment and treatment of chemical dependency and problem gambling. Before coming  to the Quad Cities from Portland, Oregon, Kristi worked closely with mandated drug court clients in both residential and outpatient settings. A volunteer for Davenport Sister Cities and frequent presenter for local organizations and citizen groups, Kristi speaks knowledgeably on subjects such as addiction recovery, impulse and emotion regulation, and positive parenting.

Kristi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and German from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She earned her Masters Degree in Counseling in 2003 from the University of Maryland. A member of the American Counseling Association, Kristi is also an active member of the local chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association.
