Sandra S. Siemens, L.I.S.W.
Founder and President of Family Foundations of Iowa, Inc.

Sandra Siemens, L.I.S.W., is the founder and President of Family Foundations of Iowa, Inc., a community of Christian clinicians providing quality, professional and ethical mental/behavioral health services.  Services are based on biblical principles, and are provided in a caring environment. 

Sandy is an experienced therapist and supervisor.  From the initial assessment and evaluation to establishing goals and objectives, Sandy has over 20 years experience working with couples integrating Christian values and beliefs into her practice.

Sandy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Psychology from Regis University in Denver, Colorado and a Master of Social Work degree from St. Ambrose University.  She is a Charter Member of the American Association of Social Workers, and the Association of Family Life Professionals.


Jana L. Allemeier, N.C.C., L.M.H.C
Jana L. Allemeier, NCC, LMHC, is a National Certified Counselor, a state Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and a member of Family Foundations of Iowa, Inc.

Jana's expertise in helping adults and teenagers with depression, anxiety, anger management, and grief enhances the professional services provided by Family Foundations.  She is a compassionate, caring therapist willing to accept the challenge of helping individuals and couples deal with sexual difficulties; integrating Christian beliefs into her counseling.

Jana earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Western Illinois University in the Board of Governors, specializing in Abnormal Psychology and Religion, and her Master of Science in Education of Counseling.  She is a member of The American Counseling Association, American Association of Christian Counselors, and The American Red Cross National & State Disaster Human Response Team.


Matt Lettington, M.A, M.F.T
Matt received his M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University, Lynchberg, Virginia, in April 2007.  He holds his Bachelor of Science in Christian Education from Grace University, Omaha, Nebraska.

Matt has worked with families and teens for over fourteen years with Youth for Christ USA.  He was licensed as a Pastor with G.L.B.C. in 1994.  he is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

His combination of passion and experience regarding family issues enables him to counsel families, adolescents, and individuals.  Matt understands the dynamic role that men hold in the family system and the struggles that they face today.  He is proficient in assessment, evaluation and treatment in a wide variety of counseling fields.


Susan E. Alden, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
Susan received her Doctor of Nursing from Rush University College of Nursing in Psychiatric Nursing and a Post-Master's Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She is Board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing and Family Practice Nursing. Dr. Alden was Assistant Professor at Marycrest International University for 20 years and Supervisor at Davenport Medical Center/Trinity Medical Center North for 10 years. In recent years she has been in private practice.


She has experience in most forms of individual and group therapies, addictions and career counseling, general and specialty nursing, education and nursing management. Dr. Alden is available for the clients of Family Foundations when referred by our therapists.


Kimber Weckel, L.M.S.W.
Kimber Weckel, L.M.S.W. has 14 years experience working with young people and their parents, helping them through difficult issues such as depression, anger, stress, cutting, eating disorders, sexuality, family conflict, and relationships.  She also works with a variety of adults experiencing depression, anxiety, and relationship stress.

Kimber's passion is to inspire young women to become all they are meant to be and help single women as they pursue their hearts desire to enter into marriage.  Designed to address the needs of high school, college age, and adult women caught in the cycle of love addiction; Relentless: Pursuing God's Best is a message Kimber can bring to your group of any size.

Kimber graduated in 1995 from Teikyo-Marcrest University with her bachelor's degree in social work.  Then in 2001 she completed her Master's degree in social work through St. Ambrose University.  Kimber is licensed through the National Association of Social Workers.  A regular speaker for youth ministry, a certified trainer in Character Counts! and the 40 developmental Assets, Kimber is available for training and speaking engagements upon request.


Lori Pedersen, L.M.S.W.,

Lori earned her Master of Social work degree from the University of Northern Iowa and joined Family Foundations of Iowa in 2008. Her extensive training in social work provides her with a holistic approach to therapy taking into account a person’s entire environment.

Lori’s special interests include adolescent issues, positive parenting skills, divorce recovery and grief counseling. She believes all people have the ability to change and ineffective behavior is something which develops over time, and therefore takes time to work through. Lori’s training is in Solution Focused Brief Therapy, with the goal being to discover the strengths within you and reaching resolutions in a timely manner.

Lori is experienced serving those who are striving to overcome multiple stressors. Her goal is to provide a safe, caring space for you to relax, be supported and empowered while exploring your thoughts and concerns freely. She will be honest with you and help you develop your abilities to handle life’s challenges which at times may seem overwhelming.


Marla Voss, L.M.S.W.

Marla Voss provides individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents with bipolar disorder, depression, and other mood disorders.  She also specializes in  substance abuse and chemical dependency issues. 

Marla has worked in health care for over fifteen years. Her experience includes working with clients in community mental health and substance abuse agencies in both Iowa and Illinois.  She recognizes the importance of how mental and emotional well-being impacts overall health.  Marla's goal as your therapist is to help you define and move toward the goals you establish for your life.

Marla earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Benedictine University and her Master of Social Work degree at St. Ambrose University.  She is a member of the North American Association of Christians in Social Work.  


Paula F. Price, L.M.H.C.

Director of the Muscatine Office

Paula F. Price, LMHC, specializes in the integration of Psychology and Theology. She assess both spiritual and psychological needs, and designs treatment plans unique to every client in order to provide the most personal holistic, professional, and caring services possible.

As an experienced educator and therapist, Paula is able to assist children and parents in dealing with developmental, behavioral, and educational concerns. As a cancer survivor, she is also able to encourage individuals and families in dealing with the emotional side effects of chronic illness. Paula enjoys being able to encourage individuals and couples attain goals for self improvement and spiritual growth. She is an active speaker and workshop leader, offering a variety of topics to area organizations and churches.

 

Paula holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Liberty University in Lynchberg, Virginia. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Mental Health Counseling Association, and the Iowa Mental Health Counseling Association.
